Hook Norton Football Club

Hello to all you Hooky Supporters and potential Hooky Supporters

Hook Norton Football ClubWelcome, again, to the Hook Norton F.C. Website as we look forward to Season 2007/2008, with our First Team, once more, in the Premier Division of the Sport Italia League after last season’s exciting promotion achieving 3rd place finish in Division 1 (West).

Ben Spiero, assisted by Karlton Stratford, is in his 4th term as First Team Manager and will be looking to consolidate Hooky’s place at the higher level with a core of players who gave the team success last season, added to whom a few other experienced players are likely to be brought in. Without doubt, the new season promises to be both exciting and challenging as our village team seeks to compete on equal terms with the likes of established Step 5 teams such as North Leigh, Hungerford Town, Witney Utd and the rest of the teams in the Premier Division.

Away from the field of play, things are also happening. Indeed, as required by FA and Hellenic League requirements, covered spectator accommodation (sitting and standing),
floodlighting, dug outs and pitch perimeter hard standing are being provided for home matches when they begin at The Bourne after 8th September after the cricket season has ended. Furthermore, a four dressing room clubhouse, complete with bar and lounge, is about to be built and it is hoped will be ready for use early in the New Year. So, as well as providing an improved level of football, the club is also providing an improved level of facilities for you, our supporters.

Please give us your support, not only in terms of watching our football matches but also by patronizing the clubhouse before, during and after matches. In there, you will always receive a warm and friendly welcome from Colette and Kerrie who will have an ample selection of drinks and refreshments for you to choose from; what’s more our wide screen TV will be offering Sky and Setanta LIVE Premiership matches for viewing, including after our Saturday matches have finished at 5.15pm.

Up the Hooky!
